Its signature event, CajunFest, as well as several other family-oriented events including Parkfest, Friday Night Farmers Markets, Movies on the Square, Splash and Blast 4th of July Celebration, Trick or Treat on the Square and Christmas on the Square promote community identity. The Celina Downtown Master Plan has won a State Planning Award! Ideation Planning collaborated with the community and City Government of Celina, Texas, utilizing an innovative Design Thinking method and extensive engagement throughout the process. This is a Plan written by the community, and it is a Plan that has ushered in a new and exciting era for Celina's downtown with explosive results already being seen.
